Making me appy at the moment is a nifty little app called 360 which creates realtime panoramas.
I tested it out on the weekend (on my iphone 3GS) and it’s really easy to use. It does take a little while to get your head around and there are definitely a few things you can do to get a better panorama, but here’s my first attempt which I shot in Hyde Park, London…
Check it out here on their site so you can get the full experience: http://360.io/zpv7yD
While this first attempt isn’t perfect, I’ve realised there are a few things you can do for better results. You need to shoot something that’s not going to move – no people, no clouds and defintely no cars. Also, you really need to stand on the spot and do it; the tighter the circle the better. Also, you need some good lighting and I’ve found natural light the best.
The uses for this app are endless (if you can embed the panoramas in your site which I couldn’t work out how to do) so look out for some little gardens shot with 360!
You can download the app for the app store, or find out more here.
